Lawful Presence Verification

Please visit the Lawful Presence Verification website for a full list of acceptable documents to submit to satisfy your LPV hold. Pay close attention to the bullets under each document to ensure the file you send meets the requirements for your document type. Best practice is to ensure the following:

Front and back of cards such as driver license and permanent resident cards.
Signatures present on passports and certificate of citizenship/naturalization.
Seal present and legible on birth certificates. Seal could be embossed or stamped on the back of the birth certificate.
Unexpired document
Military ID cards should not be sent electronically. Must present in person or via Teams meeting.
File type should be jpg, jpeg, png, or pdf. Do not send heic files.
